The scientific research produced by independent Investigators is vital for complementing Radius-sponsored
research to further understand the benefit/risk profile of our therapies as well as explore new opportunities
to address unmet medical needs.
The aim of the Radius Investigator Initiated Studies (IIS) Program is to support unsolicited, and independently
initiated and conducted, studies that have the potential to enhance scientific and medical knowledge. This
independent research must address meaningful scientific and/or medical objectives via valid study designs in
which the privacy rights, safety and welfare of patients are of paramount importance.
Therapeutic Area of Interest
Osteoporosis: Diagnosis, Treatment, Disease State, Quality of Care
The IIS is to be conducted independent of Radius. The Investigator or affiliated study sponsor is responsible
for the study concept, design, operational execution, data handling, data analysis/interpretation, subsequent
reporting/publication, and ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
How to apply for IIS support
Researchers are invited to submit their concept proposal. Concept proposals, inclusive of preclinical, clinical
and outcomes research, will be reviewed collectively by the Radius IIS Committee based on scientific merit and
alignment with Radius areas of research interest.
The Requestor will be informed about the outcome of the Committee review. Should Radius be interested in the
concept proposal, the Investigator will be invited to submit a final protocol and supporting documentation
which will be reviewed by the Committee in connection with a final decision.
